The Garrard County Animal Shelter successfully got all their dogs sponsored, but they are still experiencing overcrowding. The shelter says they need the public’s help in order to find homes for the fur babies. The animal shelter said the facility has been at code red, which means that they are at maximum capacity and will have no choice but to euthanize if no dogs or puppies find homes.
If you are unable to adopt, the shelter says you can sponsor a dog for $60, which they have been able to do for the majority of the pups at the moment. However, as of this afternoon, four more dogs were slotted to come into the facility. The shelter conducts meet and greets for the four-legged friends during operating hours.
