A former Eastern Kentucky University professor has been sentenced for attempting to produce child pornography.
Kyle Knezevich, a former aviation professor at Eastern Kentucky University, has been sentenced to 220 months in prison for attempting to produce child pornography. The sentencing comes after an investigation was launched on September 7, 2023, when an EKU student discovered a camera in a men’s bathroom on campus.
The investigation revealed that Knezevich had planted the camera. Further searches conducted at Knezevich’s home unveiled recordings dating back to 2009, including footage of both adult and minor men. Videos were found to have been recorded in campus bathrooms, locker rooms, and Knezevich’s home bathroom.
As part of his plea agreement, Knezevich admitted to creating videos with the intention of capturing minor males engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Under federal law, Knezevich must serve 85% of his prison sentence. Following his release, he will be under the supervision of the U.S. Probation Office for life.
