Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible for all the WBON-TV viewing area in central and eastern Kentucky. The watch continues through late tonight. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Locally higher rainfall amounts are possible.
Those living in some of the regularly flooded areas in Estill county have already reported to WBONTV that water is starting to pool on roadways. As you can see in this graphic, the Kentucky River in Ravenna is expected to have high waters, especially if the forecasted amount of rain continues.
Stay tuned for the Live at Five newscast to get more details as the waters continue to rise across the viewing area.
