Last night around 11, Brodhead Fire Department was dispatched to aid Mount Vernon Fire Department for a structure fire on Country Side Circle in Mount Vernon. First arriving crews found heavy fire venting from the front of the residence as the home was fully involved.
According to the Mount Vernon Fire Department, the occupants were able to escape from the residence without injury.
Brodhead, Mount Vernon and Western Rockcastle Fire Departments all worked the scene for several hours to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
