A portion of I-75 in Rockcastle county heading northbound is closed due to a fatal accident. According to Kentucky State Police the incident involved a pedestrian and a tractor trailer. This deadly incident happened near mile marker 70 between Mt. Vernon and Berea and is affecting traffic at least 8 miles back. The coroner has been called to the scene and there is no estimation of when traffic will be able to resume.
(UPDATE) I-75 Northbound has re-opened, traffic is still moving slowly.
