Funeral arrangements are now officially set for the Richmond soldier who died while serving in Iraq after his body was delivered today in Madison County. 22-year-old specialist Ryan Dennis Orin Riley was killed in a non-combat related incident. Riley was a lifelong Madison Countian and graduate of Lexington’s Henry Clay High School.
His funeral is set for 1 p.m. Monday at the Richmond Church of Christ on Lancaster Road.
WBONtv sat down with Riley’s mother, brother, and sister who shared fond memories of their loved one. They laughed and cried as they told stories of the many activities Ryan was involved in, including hiking and gaming.
Riley’s burial will follow the funeral Monday at the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday night at Richmond Church of Christ.
