The man who escaped custody Monday in Madison County has been recaptured.
The Kentucky State Police, Post 7, in Richmond, was contacted just before 11:30 a.m. Monday by the Madison County Detention Center regarding the escape of 31 year-old Thomas B. Crowe of Berea. Crowe escaped custody and fled from the detention bus enroute to a rehabilitation facility.
Crowe was serving a sentence for Promoting Contraband 1st Degree and Assault 2nd Degree.
Crowe was recaptured Tuesday around 5 p.m. by the Madison County Sheriff’s office and relodged in the Madison County Detention Center. He is now facing an additional charge of Escape 2nd degree.
