If you have taken a stroll downtown recently, you no doubt have noticed the handful of seemingly empty storefronts and businesses on Main Street and surrounding areas.
WBONTV wanted to get the scoop on what is going on downtown, as it seems a little dismal from the outside looking in at the moment.
However, we spoke to President and CEO of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Mendi Goble who said there are actually plans in the works for a good portion of the nearly 10 that stand empty at the moment.
As for the other buildings, Goble says they want business owners to come check out what Richmond has to offer, and that even a few potential buyers from Lexington have been interested.
