Elite Martial Arts student win medals at KY State Championship Martial Arts Tournament

A student from Elite Martial Arts earned top honors this past weekend at the Kentucky State Championship regional sport karate tournament, bringing home multiple medals and representing the community with pride.

The student competed in several divisions including Traditional Forms, Point Sparring, Continuous Sparring, and Weapons. Angel Gonzalez won 2nd in Point Sparring and 3rd in Padded Swords.

Under the direction of Master Will Schneider, students have been training diligently in preparation for competition. The tournament tested their discipline, focus, athleticism, and sportsmanship — qualities emphasized daily at the academy.

“We are incredibly proud of Angel,” said Master Schneider. “While winning medals is exciting, what matters most is the confidence, perseverance, and respect they develop through training and competition.”

Elite Martial Arts offers programs for children, teens, and adults focused on character development, physical fitness, and practical self-defense skills. The school continues to grow its competitive sport karate team while maintaining its commitment to building strong leaders in the community.
