If you were traveling down South Second Street this past weekend, the mural on the Enrich building should have caught your attention. Elias Reynolds, an Ashland artist who is originally from Richmond, worked Saturday and Sunday to finish his mural which pays tribute to the history of the Enrich building.
From 1915 to 2023, Reynolds successfully brought back memories of Woods Chevrolet, Eastern School of Hair Design, Andy’s Pizza Palace, and Cherry’s. In addition, Enrich held a Block Party and a 5k Run Saturday night, and the runners took their running shoes and tagged the Enrich sign on the front of the building after they crossed the Finish Line.
The building on South Second Street is taking on new life and looking better every day. The Madison County Community Fund sponsored the mural for Enrich. New windows are coming soon as well as a new roof.
