In today’s 2-Minute election sitdown, we speak to Democrat and current county PVA Billy Ackerman.
Ackerman agrees that not many people are aware just exactly what the county property valuation administrator does. He explains that he works with realtors and county government to put valuation on not just homes and structures, but tangible property and vehicles as well.
With a degree in Managerial Finance from EKU, and a Master’s in Business Administration, Ackerman says he is well prepared to continue as county PVA. Ackerman says he was appointed by the Governor in 2009, and has been in the position since and hopes to gain re-election.
However, he explains there is more work to be done, and wants to get out and campaign harder than before. Ackerman was proud of his office, and says that the community can count on them to be committed to serve.
