Republican Dr. Deanna Frazier says she has been a Madison Countian her entire life, and she now wants to take that commitment to the next level and run for state representative. Frazier is seeking to gain the spot for the 81st district, and says all of her business know-how will be well suited to the position.
Frazier is an Audiologist, and her 11 locations of hearing clinics have grown from just one business that she began years ago.
Growing the economy is a top priority for Frazier, who says this must be done with cuts to government spending. She says the balancing of the budget in Frankfort needs to be orchestrated better, and her skill as a business owner would allow her to do this by advocating and listening.
Some of the topics discussed were teacher’s pensions, the growing drug epidemic, the chronically over-crowded detention center here in Madison County, and budgeting for the district. She supports counseling for those struggling with addiction, and wants to find alternatives rather than putting addicts behind bars.
