Although the rain has stopped falling in Texas after Harvey, donations are still needed for the victims of the record-breaking hurricane.
Within twenty four hours, the EKU Environmental Health Sciences department and other local organizations got together to open three donation drop off points across Richmond. Students participated in organizing and helping unload the first truckload of water today during their classtime in an effort to show support.
Organizers of the donation drop off efforts spoke highly of the students, EKU, and their hopes for those that are struggling down south in this time of crisis.
Water, dry goods, and monetary donations will be given straight to the victims and can be brought to the Dizney health sciences building on EKU’s campus through next Friday. Look for the large yellow ‘Donations’ sign seen in the video.
The other locations accepting donations are the two Better Homes and Gardens real estate Cypress Agencies in Richmond on Keenland Drive and in Summit Plaza. Donations will be accepted through next Friday, September 8th, and will be delivered to the victims.
