Due to the recent and progressing drought conditions in Berea and southern Madison County, the City of Berea has issued a water shortage advisory.
The advisory is to notify all retail and wholesale customers of Berea Municipal Utilities that current conditions exist, which indicate the potential for serious raw water supply shortages.
At this time, the advisory is requesting voluntary water conservation measures to be followed by all BMU retail and wholesale customers. This includes Southern Madison Water District and will remain in effect until water supplies have returned to seasonally normal levels in the service area.
