A little warmer, and a continuing warm-up through the middle next week is hitting just in time for the official start of the winter season. Winter will officially kick off tomorrow night and with that, we will start to see the days lengthen.
Tomorrow will be the shortest day of 2019 with sunrise at 7:49 a.m. and sunset at 5:22 p.m., giving us a little over nine and a half hours of daylight tomorrow. Today, we have the last full day of Fall and highs will top out in the high 40s, flirting with the 50-degree mark.
Lows tonight will be back down below freezing. Your first day of Winter will be very warm by mid-December standards, making it all the way into the low 50s.
Sunday will have more of the same, with sun and temps in the low 50s. As of right now, it looks like we are going to stay warm and dry right through the holiday with sun and 60 degree temps for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
