Deputies responded to a complaint of a naked man injecting drugs

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office report responding to a complaint of a naked man “shooting up” on Arthur Jackson RD. Upon contact with 22 year old Samuel Sell police report noticing he was nervous and jittery, officers asked Sell if he was previously naked or “shooting up”.

According to officials Sell stated that he had not been doing either, but stated he did have syringes in his tool bag he had with him, claiming to be diabetic. Police report Sell consenting to a search of the tool bag, where police located two syringes next to aluminum foil with burnt residue. Police then ordered Sell to place his hands against the wall were officers reportedly began patting Sell down and checking his person.

Police say this resulted in Sell contesting the detaining and pulling away from deputies. Sell was apprehended after being taken to the ground, upon searching deputies report locating a small amount of suspected methamphetamine in a small baggie inside the battery compartment of a mini flashlight that Sell had in his front pocket.

He was then transported to the Madison county Detention Center on charges of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, assault 3rd degree and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree.
