The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of scheduled repairs for a bridge in Madison County. The bridge, located on Maple Grove Road was determined unsafe for the public. District 7 inspectors examined the bridge during a scheduled routine review and reached the decision to close the bridge in April of 2020.
Recently, the repair project, according to KYTC was given to Todd Johnson Contracting Inc. for the amount of $406,422.46. The anticipated completion date has been set for Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
Early work will begin on Monday, May 17th, so drivers can expect workers clearing the area to begin repairs. KYTC says to keep in mind that all work and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
