Darrell Billings files for State Representative for the 91st District

Today, Darrell Billings filed candidacy papers with the Secretary of State, officially launching his campaign for the Republican nomination for State Representative in the 91st House District.  “Our families work too hard to be ignored in Frankfort,” said Billings. “I’m running to put more money back in your pocket, bring real jobs home, and fix our schools and roads. The 91st District has big potential, now let’s make it happen.”

Darrell is running on a platform to:

• Cut taxes – Drop the state income tax from 3.5% to 3.0%(and keep pushing toward zero) so you keep every dollar you earn

• Grow good-paying jobs – Slash red tape, land new factories, and bring high-speed internet to every corner of Estill, Madison, and Powell Counties

• Fix infrastructure – Lock in funding for crumbling schools and improve our roads and bridges

• Get tough on crime – Fight illegal immigration and lock up violent criminals

• Defend our conservative values – Strongly support President Trump, defend life, and protect the Second Amendment

Darrell is a third-generation farmer and lifelong Powell County resident who still works the land. He owns Tanner Dodge in Stanton, studied at Eastern Kentucky University, served on Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell’s transition team.  He is a former Chairman of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association where he passed a rule that protected girls sports and previously chaired the Kentucky FFA Foundation Board.

The 91st District covers all of Estill, Powell and parts of Madison Counties.
