Daniel Boone Elementary recently hosted a vibrant and memorable Hispanic Heritage Celebration that brought students, families, and community members together in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event was filled with energy and culture — from salsa and line dancing to Hispanic Heritage bingo and stunning art displays created by Daniel Boone students.
A highlight of the evening was a special presentation by student Yarioh Reyes, who impressed the audience with his bilingual skills and a thoughtful explanation of the importance of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Daniel Boone Family Resource Center worked hand-in-hand with community partners to make the event a success. Guests enjoyed exploring vendor booths offering helpful resources for the Hispanic community and delicious food provided by El Charro Texano.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to EKU Psychology Clinic, First Baptist Church and Pastor Rudy Montalvo, EKU El Centro, Madison County Migrant Program, and Prep Academy Agrigrow for their contributions.
Special recognition goes to Mrs. Williams, Daniel Boone’s talented art teacher, and Ms. Sanchez, DBE’s dedicated ELL teacher, whose creativity and hard work made the celebration truly special.
This event reflected the collaborative spirit of Daniel Boone Elementary, with staff, students, and community members coming together to celebrate culture, unity, and pride.
