Around 8 AM, Monday, October 16, The Berea Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 1305 Paint Lake Road in Berea. This is the same location 2 people died in a separate fire in November of last year. Those victims were Heaven Renner and Tony Damrell.
Fire crews reported finding smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building. An initial search was conducted and determined there was no one in the structure at the time of this fire.
Paint Lick Road was shut down as a safety measure while firefighters extinguished the fire.
The road was reopened around 9:45 Monday morning.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported.
