In this third installment of the series on growth in Downtown Richmond, we speak to City Commissioner Morgan Eaves, who explains that there are options for growth in the works, but she believes more can be done to drive more business downtown.
Eaves said utilizing social media more would help to keep interest alive after the ribbon is initially cut. She said the City Commission discussed having incentives for new business owners last year, but it was not passed.
In conclusion, Eaves says anyone can reach out to her and other commissioners with their concerns about opening a business downtown, so that they can make development on Main and auxiliary streets a priority.
