A Clay County man is now behind bars after sheriff’s officials say a homeowner had to call them while they held the suspect at gunpoint during an alleged burglary.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reports that the suspect, Johnathan Sizemore, was taken into custody following the suspected burglary at the home on Paces Creek Road.
Deputies report that Sizemore was found by the owner of the residence, who confronted him and ensured that he was detained until police arrived.
Sizemore, according to police, told them that he had used methamphetamine that very day.
Sizemore was arrested and charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance and burglary, and lodged in the detention center.
