What may qualify for another episode of “ Worlds Dumbest Criminals,” happened today in Mount Vernon.
Kentucky State Police Information Officer, Scottie Pennington, reports that Trooper Brian Maupin responded to a disabled vehicle call today on I-75 in Rockcastle County. The vehicle reportedly had run out of gas.
When arriving on scene, the Trooper observed the strong odor of marijuana. There was a brief altercation before the subject fled the scene on foot. The man, now identified as 37-year-old Reginald Barber of Cincinnati, was taken into custody shortly after.
A search of Barbers vehicle yielded over 11 pounds of methamphetamines and a glass mason jar containing marijuana.
Barber is incarcerated in the Rockcastle County Detention Center tonight facing multiple drug and evading related charges.
