This past weekend, it was a pleasure to celebrate a birthday with some special music in Madison County and wonderful weather.
Friday night, the Richmond Area Arts Council featured the Derek Isaacs Band at the Richmond Centre from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The night was a glorious June night, and the music was exceptional and quite entertaining. It was fun to see old friends out and about! Thank you again to the Richmond Area Arts Council, the Richmond Centre, and Redi Mart for sponsoring this event for the community.
Saturday night, Chenault Winery hosted Brassfield featuring J. P. Pennington on guitar and vocals backing up the trio of Jessie Rose (his daughter), Bradley Brassfield (his son-in-law), and Chadley (Bradley’s brother). Kudos to Becky, Christina, and Samantha for hosting Brassfield on the patio at Chenault Winery.
Many thanks to Brassfield for their rendition of “Happy Birthday” and to Derek for playing my John Cougar request “Little Pink Houses.” Thanks to all who made it a special weekend for this birthday boy.
