The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed the bridge on KY 3334 (Old Lick Creek Road) at milepoint 1.1 in Magoffin County after an inspection revealed significant deterioration of the bridge beams.
The bridge crosses Brushy Fork and is located just east of Brushy Creek Road, 1.1 miles east of KY 2019.
Signs and barricades will be posted to notify drivers of the bridge’s closure. Motorists can use KY 2019, US 460, KY 40, and KY 1081 to the south, or KY 2019 and KY 1081 to the north, as detour routes while the bridge is closed. No timetable has yet been established to reopen the bridge.
Approximately 130 vehicles use this section of KY 3334 each day.
