Bourbon County authorities have arrested a man they say is responsible for arson at a Gillespie Road home late Friday evening.
According to a post on their Facebook page, the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office claims that 47 year-old Chris Brozowsky, a resident of the house that was burned, poured accelerant in a hallway. Following this, Brozowsky reportedly lit a fire and left the residence.
Further reading of the post indicates that another man was inside at the time of the incident, but was able to escape without injury due to the smoke detector.
Deputies later located Brozowsky in Montgomery County, where they detained and transported him back to Bourbon County as part of their investigation.
Officials charged Brozowksy with 1st Degree Arson and Attempted Murder, before lodging him in the Bourbon County Detention Center.
