**UPDATE** Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison has now identified the teen as 16-year-old Damien Chamberlain of Houston Texas.
Authorities confirm this afternoon they have located the body believed to be the teenager who apparently drowned yesterday in the Kentucky River.
Search and recovery efforts resumed this morning at 8 am for the teen in Boonesborough State Park on the Madison/Clark County line.
The site of the old Boonesborough Beach was an active scene yesterday beginning around 3 pm as multiple county agencies responded to the call of an apparent drowning. Eyewitnesses say the teen was struggling to stay above the water, when he submerged and did not resurface.
Search teams used sonar to eventually find what they believed to be the body. Divers arrived this afternoon to investigate what sonar was showing, and that eventually led to the boy’s recovery.
