**ORIGINAL STORY**
We now know the identity of the man found dead in Estill County on Monday December 18, 2023. According to Estill County Coroner Jimmy Wise, the man has been positively identified as 51-year-old John E. Fowler of Irvine.
Sadly, efforts to locate Fowler’s mother have been unsuccessful. If you have any information to help locate her you are asked to please contact the Coroner’s Office at 606-723-9451.
The body was discovered just off South Madison Avenue next to the railroad tracks in Irvine on Monday around noon by a bystander.
