Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant officials to hold community meeting about closure activities

The Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens’ Advisory Commission and Chemical Destruction Community Advisory Board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 1:30 p.m. in Rooms A and B on the lobby level at Eastern Kentucky University’s Carl D. Perkins Building located on Kit Carson Drive in Richmond, Kentucky.

With chemical weapons destruction operations complete at the Blue Grass Army Depot near Richmond, Kentucky, Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant managers want to keep citizens informed and receive community feedback about closure activities and the processing of agent-contaminated secondary waste.

For those who are not able to attend in person, a live video stream of the meeting will be available on the Program Executive Office, Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives YouTube channel. Viewers may ask questions, make comments and receive feedback during the livestream event.

The meeting location is wheelchair accessible. Those who might need assistance should submit requests for alternate formats, sign language interpreters and other reasonable accommodations as soon as possible but no later than Aug. 29, to the BGCAPP Outreach Staff at (800) 277-6819 or bgoutreach@iem.com.

This event is open to the public. Visit the PEO ACWA website at www.peoacwa.army.mil for more information.
