Black bear ”sighting season” has officially began.
The Garrard County Sheriff’s office say they received calls about a bear in the Richmond Road area near Lancaster Monday night around 10.
According to the Kentucky Department of Wildlife, the map below shows areas where black bears numbers are again growing. Bears have also been spotted in other counties in our area like Madison, Garrard, Montgomery, Clark etc.
