Manita Collins, 36 years old of Berea, is now facing two charges stemming from abuse of a child. According to the citation, video captured the abuse that led to the arrest. Social services then intervened and interviewed the child who reportedly said Collins smacked them in the face, pinched the child’s arms and ears, and abusive spanking. The report continued the child stated Collins also put hot sauce in the child’s mouth. Socials workers and authorities also observed roaches and animal feces in the home.
Collins is now facing first degree criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor charges.
