An 88 year old woman, now identified at Shirley Gilpin, that was hit by car in Berea this morning has died. Reportedly, the accident occurred in the parking lot of her apartment complex, Glades Village in Berea today August 29 2022. Ms. Gilpin was reportedly walking across the lot, when someone backing out of a parking space struck her. Ms. Gilpin died as a result of her injuries and was pronounced dead at the St. Joe Hospital in Berea by Madison County Deputy Coroner Rick Bates.
