The two new Berea city councilors and mayor Bruce Fraley have been sworn into their positions. The new councilors are John Payne and Emily LaDouceur and it is the first time that either have worked in public office. LaDouceur said she was inspired to run by woman running for other positions in government. She went on to say that she wants to change what it means to be a city councilor by being open and involved with the community. John Payne said he wants to tackle the homelessness and drug problems in Berea as well as improve infrastructure in the city.
