Madison County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested a Berea man on a warrant, charging him with first degree strangulation and first degree criminal abuse of a child. The warrant details that 53-year-old Andre Morrison criminally abused a minor from the summer of 2018 to this month.
Police state that the child had gone to school with bruises and a bloody nose, sparking the investigation. The child allegedly told police that Morrison said they were not getting dressed quickly enough, and that he hit them in the face, arms, legs, chest and back.
The warrant continues that Morrison had been treating the child in this manner since August of 2018, and had even allegedly held them in a manner to strangle them. He was arrested and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
