Berea KY Tourism is partnering with the Madison County Animal Shelter this Saturday December 17th for a holiday themed benefit. Madison County residents are encouraged to bring their pets and dog food donations to 3 Artist Circle in Berea from 11am to 1pm in exchange for a special photo opportunity.
Leashed furry friends and other members of the family can get their picture taken with Santa in exchange for a donation of food for the current population at the Madison County Animal Shelter. According to Madison County Government officials, there are over 70 dogs currently in the care of the shelter. More than 20 of those are currently adoptable.
The shelter is currently experiencing a major dog food shortage and are in much need of dry food for the animals in their care. Madison County Animal Shelter officials say that Purina brand dog chow is preferred, but that any dog food donation will gladly be accepted.
