After nearly a ecade of work and over 12 million dollars Berea College’s New Natural Science and Health Building is now open. The Margret A. Cargill Natural Sciences and Health Building or M.A.C building as its known by the students and staff of the college is a new state of the art facility that has laboratories and class rooms for students in nursing, mathematics, physics and many other branches of science. The building has features such as a virtual hospital where nursing students can gain hands on experience in a controlled environment. The building was also constructed with the goal of bringing different fields together so students are better prepared for their careers after graduation. There is also the Yahng Discovery Center were students as young as elementary school can go to learn and also gain an interest in science and health.
