Baptist Health Richmond recently held a Dedication Ceremony to their newly renovated Cancer Center. President Greg D. Gerard welcomed the guests to the ceremony held in the Healing Garden just outside the Cancer Center.
Rev. Mitch Brown, a Board Member of the Baptist Health Foundation, provided an opening prayer followed by Kelly Taylor singing “Don Not Worry” with Kirk Mays accompanying on guitar.
President Gerard introduced Judge Jean Chenault Logue, the President of the Telford Foundation and thanked Judge Logue for the support of the Telford Foundation to the Baptist Health Cancer Center. Judge Logue explained to the guests in attendance the involvement of Robert L. Telford in creating the Telford Foundation after his career at Mason and Hanger, an architecture and engineering firm.
After the “Benediction by Selah” offered by Kelly Taylor and Kirk Mays, the Chief Operating Officer of Baptist Health Patrick Falvey thanked President Gerard and the Baptist Health Richmond staff on their dedication to the Cancer Center and the care they bring to the Madison County community. Falvey also thanked the Telford Foundation and the various donors to the Baptist Health Cancer Center.
President Gerard thanked all in attendance for their support and reminded everyone that Baptist Health’s mission is “to demonstrate the love of Christ by improving health and providing care in their communities.”
Guests were invited to tour the Baptist Health Cancer Center and were given the opportunity to write notes of encouragement to future patients of the Cancer Center.
