A Clay City elementary school was on lockdown this afternoon when a nearby bank was robbed. Powell county sheriffs deputies report that around 2pm today, the Whitaker bank on main was robbed by a man armed with a gun, dressed in all black. The suspect then ran past the elementary immediately following the robbery. As police searched for the suspect, the school was locked down.
