Yesterday, Powell County Sherifs Deputy Hunter Martin attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Hardwicks Creek Rd and KY 2001 being operated, Eric Rogers, age 40, of Clay City. According to the sheriffs reports, Rogers fled from Deputy Martin at a high rate of speed and eventually struck another vehicle near Lone Oak Road. Shortly after, Rogers would lost control of his vehicle ending the pursuit. He was placed under arrest with no further incident and lodged into Powell County Detention Center facing a litany of charges.
