**UPDATE** AT&T says all systems are now currently back online. FCC’s Department of Homeland Security to investigate mass outage.
Tens of thousands of AT&T customers have been reported outages this morning for their home phone, internet and mobile phone services, according to Downdetector.
The outages started popping up just before 3:30 a.m. Eastern Time, according to a graph shown on the website that tracks outages. As of 12:45 p.m., the number of reports has declined drastically to nearly 18,000 after spiking at more than 73,000 just after 9 a.m. ET.
Earler this afternoon ATT said it had restored 75% of services.
Most users that are still impacted, 51%, say they are having issues with mobile phone services, More than a third of customers reporting being affected say they have no signal at all, and 8% of users say their mobile internet is down.
Many people in the WBON=TV viewing area are also experiencing issues. This led local police and emergency agencies to issue local guidelines on how to get through to 911 & communicate in the event of an emergency.
