A medical helicopter with Appalachian Regional Hospital was forced to make an emergency landing Thursday in Estill County.
The Irvine Fire Department said the helicopter was experiencing engine trouble, and managed to make a safe landing in the Estill Springs Elementary parking lot on Winchester Road.
No patients were on board and personnel will be coming to inspect the craft and make necessary repairs.
