Looks like the spontaneous outbreak of spirituality in the last couple of weeks at Asbury has spread to Richmond!
Monday night, approximately 300 college students (along with high school students, young adults and adults) gathered to worship in Eastern Kentucky University’s Brock Auditorium.
EKU student ministries planned for an hour service. We left after an hour and a half and it didn’t appear as if the service was going to end anytime soon.
The music was led by a praise band, and they read verses from the Bible.
While there, scanning the crowd, I began choosing random students and prayed for them individually. It warmed my heart and renewed the joy in my soul to witness such movement towards Jesus.
I read on social media that the “good news of Jesus was shared and three people raised their hands to accept Christ.” Amen!
Also, after the alter call, people went forward and prayed.
What time did the service end? I don’t know. What I do know, God’s spirit was present, and I’m sure when the ending came, there were many changed hearts and lives.
