Progress has been announced from Appharvest today: last year the group announced their plan to quadruple the farm network by the end of 2022, and things have been moving fast! the 15-acre Berea facility is almost 90% complete and is expected to start shipping salad greens to top grocery stores and restaurants in the coming months.
The 60-acre Richmond facility for tomatoes is approximately 85% complete, and the 30-acre Somerset facility for berries and cucumbers is about 80% complete. All three new farms are expected to start operating by the end of the year joining the Morehead flagship farm that’s been delivering tomatoes since January 2021.
