The Annual Hops & Vine Festival presented by CG Bank is set for Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. It raises money for the Humane Society of Madison County Animal League for Life who will be on hand with adoptable pets.
Apollo Pizza and its sister store Steam Engine Pizza Pub of Irvine are hosting. The event features local craft beer from Blue Stallion, Country Boy, Lexington Brewing and Distilling, Mirror Twin, Dreaming Creek, West Sixth, Scout and Scholar, and Monnik, as well as cider from Wise Bird, and wine and sangria from Chenault Vineyards.
Live music is scheduled all day beginning with local act Zach and Stan at 2:00, local rock band PTY at 4:30, and Utopia, a seven piece R&B, rock, and soul band from Tullahoma, Tennessee from 7:00-10:00 PM. The event will be held near Apollo Pizza in the South Second Street Business district in Downtown Richmond.
White Rabbit Record and Skate Shop from Corbin, Kentucky will have a pop-up shop at the festival and will be joined by over a dozen other arts and craft vendors in the Hops & Vine vendor village.
As with year’s past, the event is free and open to the public. Food, drink, desserts, and refreshments will be available for purchase. There will also be corn hole, pop-a-shot basketball, and giant Connect Four. The event is rain or shine and there will be plenty of shade tents for people and well behaved, leashed dogs. Guests can bring their own chairs but no coolers or outside beverages are allowed.
