Wbontv’s Samantha Burford went down to the construction site in front of the American legion post 12 to talk to David Gannon, an event coordinator who has some memorial events planned.
Bricks will be sold to support the construction of the memorial. Each brick varnishes a name from a veteran who served in a uniform. Once the bricks are laid and the memorial is finished Gannon and the American legion Post invite all of Richmond to come down for food and to celebrate the ones who fought for us.
