Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man recently in a domestic violence case.
The victim told police that 25-year-old Nehemiah Kincaid had assaulted her. The event started over a relative being sick. Kincaid allegedly denied the victim’s access to see the sick relative.
Reports say that Kincaid pushed the victim onto the couch and put his knee onto her stomach with his hand around her neck, choking her. He then told the victim that he was going to kill her.
According to a citation, Kincaid was going to take the relative away and the victim begged for him to hand her over. Instead, he grabbed the victim by her hair and slung her to the floor.
The victim started screaming loudly in hopes to get attention from neighbors.
Police report that the victim could be seen with a visible knot on her head and red marks around her neck consistent with manual strangulation. Kincaid had a long scratch mark from the back of his neck to under his right ear.
Kincaid admitted to grabbing the victim around her neck and pushing her down. He was arrested and charged with 2nd degree domestic violence.
