A disturbance over the weekend at the Fort Boonesborough Campground has landed one woman in jail.
Authorities report being dispatched to the park in reference to a domestic disturbance Sunday July 16, 2023, around 3. The call advised that a female was striking and attacking a man, and the man had locked himself inside the guard shack to get away from her.
When officers arrived, they found a man still in the guard shack and a female yelling profanities loudly. There were items thrown all across the parking lot, and the female was reportedly still throwing things. The citation states the woman refused commands to exit the vehicle.
