A man was arrested in Clay County for allegedly stealing a vehicle.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip Wednesday regarding 37-year-old Sammy Neace who was asleep inside a residence with a possible weapon.
At around 2:30 AM, police made contact with Neace in the residence and he was placed under arrest without incident.
According to reports, Neace allegedly took into his possession a Mazda vehicle without permission belonging to a female subject out of Jackson County. Officers later on confirmed that the vehicle was stolen. Neace also allegedly attempted to spray paint the car.
Neace was taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
