The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office recently made an arrest in regards to a reported shoplifting incident which occurred at a London area dollar store.
According to the arrest citation, the alleged shoplifter concealed a large amount of cosmetic items before leaving the store. While traveling to the business, deputies learned that the suspected shoplifter, later identified as Angela Blevins of East Bernstadt, had apparently left her cell phone behind at the store and had returned to retrieve it.
According to police, they encountered Blevins yelling and creating a disturbance once they arrived. Authorities conducted an investigation where they determined that she was under the influence.
Blevins was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (Under $500), Public Intoxication (Controlled Substances), and 2nd Degree Disorderly Conduct.
