Rescue teams are back on the scene of the Kentucky River on Old US 25 this Saturday morning looking for another person involved in the single vehicle wreck that occurred Friday night near the Proud Mary’s restaurant.
Two of the occupants were able to escape the vehicle and search teams are now looking for another, in what now is described as a recovery effort.

Fire and rescue units from Madison and Fayette Counties, Richmond and Lexington are all responding to an accident on US 25 around the old bridge near the Proud Mary’s Restaurant. Reports say a single vehicle has left the roadway and is in the Kentucky River. Rescuers are reportedly using boats and divers to get to the vehicle, where an unknown number of people are reportedly entrapped.
**UPDATE** Around 11:30 p.m., Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison was requested to the scene. Then was later told to disregard. 2 persons have been rescued, with one possibly still missing.
